THE GROUNDED PAUSE

A little something to carry with you.

Tonight was an invitation to pause long enough to feel the ground beneath you, soften what didn't need to be held quite so tightly, and make a little more room to receive.

You don't have to stay perfectly grounded.

You just have to remember how to come back.

Back to your breath.
Back to your body.
Back to yourself.

TAKE A MOMENT TO REFLECT

You don't need to answer every question. Read through them slowly and notice which one makes you pause and Start there :)

  • Where in my life could I soften instead of trying harder?

  • What am I holding tightly that might feel different if I loosened my grip?

  • What feels most like me when I let go of who or how I think I should be?

  • Is there a person, place, story, expectation or old version of myself I am ready to hold a little more lightly?

  • Where have I been giving more than I've been receiving?

  • What feels truly nourishing to me right now?

  • What am I ready to make more room for?

  • If I didn't have to explain or justify what I need right now...what would I allow myself to receive?

YOUR 60-SECOND GROUNDED PAUSE

You don't need a yoga mat. You don't need a quiet room. You don't even need more time.

Just notice the pauses that are already there.

  • Before you get out of the car.

  • Before you answer.

  • When you first get into bed.

  • While the coffee is brewing.

  • Between one thing and whatever comes next.

When you find one... Take it!

Feel your feet or the support beneath you.

  • Unclench your jaw.

  • Let your shoulders drop.

  • Take one slow breath in.

  • And let the exhale linger just a little longer.

Then ask yourself: What do I need in this moment?

Don't rush to answer. Sometimes the pause isn't where we figure everything out.|
It's simply where we become quiet enough to hear ourselves again.

A LITTLE FROM TONIGHT

Every detail of tonight's practice was chosen to support the experience of grounding,
softening and receiving.

SMOKY QUARTZ

Ground + Anchor

Smoky Quartz is traditionally associated with grounding, steadiness and connection to the earth.

Let it be a reminder that grounding doesn't have to mean becoming heavy.

You can feel light... and still know there is something beneath you.

ROSE QUARTZ

Soften + Receive

Rose Quartz is traditionally associated with love, tenderness and compassion.

A reminder that strength doesn't always have to look like holding it all together.

Sometimes strength is soft.

Sometimes it's allowing yourself to receive the same tenderness you so easily give away.

SOUND

Feel + Integrate

The Ground and Heart bowls carried us from steadiness into softness — using vibration, resonance and silence as another way to experience the practice beyond words.

And perhaps the most important sound of the evening was the space between them.

The pause.

WHEN YOU NEED TO COME BACK

Remember this:

Ground - Feel what's beneath you.

Soften- Notice what doesn't need to be held quite so tightly.

Let go - Loosen your grip on what isn't yours to carry forward.

Receive - Let yourself take in what nourishes you.

And then...

Return - Not as someone completely different. Just a little more connected to yourself.

— Crystal

Before you go...

Take one more breath.

Feel what's beneath you.

Let your shoulders soften.

And remember: You don't always have to chase what you need.

Sometimes you create the space...and allow it to find you.
